Who we are
Lance and Rayanne are college sweethearts that got married in June of 2013 at the tender age of 23 and 22, respectively. They have since been living up their twenties by teaching in Taiwan, volunteering in Australia, vacationing across the world, and enjoying child-free life in their hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rayanne is a director at a college Campus Ministry, and Lance is a full-time entrepreneur and owner of a web development and digital marketing agency.
Is this just another get-rich-quick scheme?
No, we don't encourage or expect you to have goals of business-savvy, entrepreneurship, or great wealth. We're happy that you're pursuing whatever role or career you're in - Rayanne didn't get a degree in Nonprofit Administration because she thought it would make her rich!
What we do want is for you to have a good grasp on your money and how to make the most of it, so you can crush life no matter your income!
Are you really budget ninjas?
A ninja master never reveals their true identity...
No. We definitely aren't. What we are doing here is having a conversation with anyone willing to listen. This blog is for us to share what we are doing and what we want to do with our money, which is shake things up when it comes to finance and life as a millennial.
Take it at face value - whatever that means or is worth. We aren't professional money masters and we know we aren't doing everything the right way - if such a way exists. We are aware, however, that we aren't doing it the way so many American millennials are and we want to talk about that.
Aren't you two just another couple of middle-class American millennials who drink Starbucks, had a pretty good upbringing, and now want to blog because you think you are smarter than the rest of us?
Well, this is awkward, because yes, kind of. We've learned a lot and we are always hungry and curious enough to learn more, but that doesn't make us smarter.
